Carole Jean Magee Medina 1945 – 2003 Carole Jean Medina, age 57, while surrounded by her family, returned to her Heavenly Father Wednesday, September 10, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Carole Jean was born November 5, 1945 in Childress, TX the daughter of Julian (“Mac”) H. and Lillian R. Magee. In 1987, she married James L. Medina in Oahu, HI. Their marriage was solemnized the next year in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Carole was known to everyone as a very giving, loving, and special person. Her relationship with Heavenly Father was one that was very strong. Her faith was immeasurable as well as her love and all gravitated to her for her happiness, loving nature, and infectious laugh. Her wonderful humor and love knew no bounds. Carole was willing to do anything to spend just one more day with her family. Carole was always successful in whatever she put her mind to do. Whether at Dugway Proving Grounds as the commander’s secretary, PTA president in Tooele, to owning her own contracting company, or billing for LDS Social Services. Carole was a dreamer but she knew how to make things reality. Carole was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved every minute she spent with her grandchildren, Mitchell and Taylor. Carole was a faithful member of the LDS Church. Many served Carole in her time of need and we know that she would like to express her gratitude to them for all their love and service. Carole is survived by her husband, James; sons, Jason (Natalie) Copley, John J. Copley; mother, Lillian R. Magee; and grandchildren, Mitchell, Taylor Copley. Carole was predeceased in death by her father, Julian (“Mac”) Magee. Services were held September 16, 2003 at Westbrook Ninth Ward, West Jordan, UT, with Graveside services immediately after, Tooele City Cemetery, Tooele, UT. Carole, we will miss you but we are so blessed to have known you and your sweet loving spirit.
