Raymond F. Nash Raymond F. Nash 1945 ~ 2009 Raymond passed away peacefully at his home on February 9, 2009. He was born in Tooele, UT on October 22, 1945. He graduated from Tooele High School and the University of Utah. Upon completion of his education he began a career in his field of passion, journalism. One of his first assignments was covering the Utah Legislature. Other notable assignments included the climbing of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park and the collapse of the Teton Dam in Idaho. He also loved to read books. Survived by his mother, Wanda Refiner, sons; Brian (Laurie), David, Gordon (Megan), two grand-daughters, and brothers, Bob and Don Refiner. Preceded in death by his father, Floyd Nash and a brother, Gaylen A. Nash. The family will greet guests from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com. An open house will be held for Raymond (Ray) Forrest Nash February 21 from 1-3 p.m. at 330 Hawley Ave, Sanger. Mr. Nash, 63, died Feb. 9 in Salt Lake City. His work as a journalist included UPI in Salt Lake City and Fresno; Standard/Journal in Rexburg, Idaho; managing editor, Fremont County Chronicle News, St. Anthony, Idaho; editor, Fresno Bee; and editor, Sanger Herald. Survivors include former wife, Carol Rust Nash; sons, Brian Nash and wife Laurie, David Nash and Gordon Nash and wife Megan; mother, Wanda Rufener; brothers, Bob Rufener and wife Laurie and Don Rufener and wife Larissa; and three grandchildren. Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his father Floyd R. Nash, and brother, Gaylen A. Nash. The family requests that donations be made to the Poverello House, P. O.
