Kurt Warren Bell “Tiny” 1945 – 2003 Kurt Bell was born in Tooele, Utah February 25, 1945 to Helen M. McMillan Bell and Victor Earl Franklin Bell. He graduated from high school in Tooele. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy where he served for three years in California; then was in the Naval Reserve, Ogden, for an additional three years. Kurt graduated from Salt Lake Community College in art. He then attended Weber State University. He retired from Hill Air Force Base. He painted two large wall murals at the Sweetwater Lift Lodge in Park City, one of which was 15x20 feet and the other was 15x10 feet. He just finished this last painting in May of this year. For many years Kurt played a bass guitar for two separate orchestras that played for the senior citizens for lunches, alternating between Washington Terrace and the Golden Hour Center, Ogden. He also played for the Golden Hour Senior Citizens Saturday night dances. Kurt is survived by his mother, Helen Bell, Clearfield; aunts, Orla Bell, Salt Lake City, Josie Bell, Evanston, WY, LuAnn Bell Pederson, Clovis, CA. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Bell; aunt, Bertha Bell Neville; uncles, John W. Bell, Ronald Bell; and cousin, Lyle Bell. Kurt, (“Tiny” as he was called by the seniors) died July 31, 2003 at the University of Utah Hospital. Services were held August 5, 2003 at Myers Mortuary, Ogden, with interment at Heber City Cemetery.
