Peggy Tate Smith 1945 � 2003 Peggy Tate Smith, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, after a lifelong battle of heart disease, returned to her Heavenly Father Wednesday, June 18, 2003. Peggy was born to John �Shag� Tate and Gail Beecher in October 1945 in Tooele, Utah. Peggy married Stanley Smith, September 22, 1982. Peggy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the IOF Ladies Auxiliary. Peggy enjoyed doing many crafts, crocheting and reading. Peggy was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by husband, Stan; mother, Gail; daughter, Kristi Roberts, Georgia; son, Jeff (Patrice) Roberts, Maryland; and step-daughter Debbie (Milt) McChonnachie, Utah; six grandchildren; brother Terry (Karen) Tate, sisters Carolyn (Wayne) Dow and Tamra (Russ) Peterson. A special thank you to John of the Vista Care Hospice for his kind and compassionate care of Peggy. Services were held June 23, 2003 at the Tooele 19th Ward with interment at the Tooele City Cemetery.
