Frank J. Sweeda, Jr. 1944 – 1997 On January 14, 1997, Frank J. Sweeda, Jr., surrounded by his loving family, was reunited with his loving and cherished daughter, Shelby Lynn. Frank was born November 25, 1944 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to Frank J. Sweeda, Sr. and Dena Tavarozzi Sweeda. He was raised and attended school in Tooele, Utah. He was a member of St. Marguerite’s Catholic Church. He graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Frank retired from the Postal Service after 28 years of service. Also, the Army National Guard. Frank married Julianne Meyer; later divorced. He was a loving and caring man, whose home he made welcome to many. He loved cooking, catering and landscaping. Frank was “Santa Claus” to many children, an avid golfer, and enjoyed having his antique cars in the Fourth of July and homecoming parades. Frank loved Notre Dame and the Utah Jazz. Frank is survived by his wonderful son and daughter: Todd and Shanelle Sweeda; parents, Frank and Dena Sweeda; his one and only special brother: Joe (Tug) Sweeda; three special nieces whom he adored and loved: Jodi, Laci and Kali Sweeda; special aunt and uncle: Anne and John Pizzello; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Also survived by his dog, Rockie, his friend and companion. Preceded in death by grandparents: Joseph and Josephine Tavarozzi and Stanley and Mary Sweeda. Services were held on January 18, 1997 at St. Marguerite’s Church, Tooele, Utah. This same day, January 18, 1990, Shelby Lynn preceded her father in death. Frank, we will miss your sense of humor and heart of gold. You will be in our hearts forever. We all love you dearly.
