Richard Terry Tracy, age 80, passed away from heart failure in South Weber on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. He was born on October 8, 1943 in Lake Point, Utah. Richard was sealed to his beloved wife Mary on August 6, 1965 at the Logan Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Richard was an extraordinary man who was not only an amazing father and loving husband but also a genuine friend. He was a man of integrity, compassion, and wisdom, who always put his family first and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. Richard taught us the value of hard work, perseverance, and humility, and instilled in us a sense of responsibility and duty towards our family and community. His legacy will continue to live on through the lives of those he touched. We will always remember his welcoming smile, his warm embrace, and his unwavering love for his family. He was a true hero, and we are blessed to have had him in our lives. Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Tracy, and their children: Richard L. Tracy (Stephanie), Maryann Hansen (Bryan), Raymond Tracy (Shelly), Russell Tracy (Tamara), Kathleen Tutor (Jimmy), and Kaylynn Arthur (Gary), 17 grand- children and 7 great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by Richard Woodrow Tracy (father), Elizabeth May Anderson (mother), Robert Tracy (brother), Penny Andros (sister), Ellen Tracy (sister-in-law) and Christopher Tracy (grandson). Richard enjoyed a long successful career at the Tooele Army Depot. He was a dedicated and hardworking individual who made a significant impact in his area of work. He retired in 1994 with a full year of sick leave and moved to St. George Utah where he continued to work another 16 years for RAM Company. Outside of work, Richard (the Tax Man) built the Tracy’s Tax Service business and used his expertise of finance to assist many in his community to provide for his family. His hard work and dedication were greatly appreciated by his many clients. Viewing services for Richard Tracy will be held on Tuesday, January 30th at Tate Mortuary, located at 110 South Main Street Tooele, Utah 84074. Public viewing will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a family-only viewing from 12:00pm to 12:30pm. Richard Tracy will forever be remembered for his kindness, love, and devotion to his family and community. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Dad. You have earned it. We love you forever.
