Funeral Held Saturday For Joyce Cochrane The North Tooele Stake Tabernacle was filled with sorrowing friends and relatives on Saturday, June 3, 1961, when funeral services were held for Joyce Cochrane, 18, who died June 1, 1961 in a Salt Lake Hospital following heart surgery. Bishop Willard Sagers of the Tooele Eighth Ward conducted the service. Don Kirk offered the prayer at the Mortuary and Martina Duffin played prelude and postlude music. The opening musical number was a vocal solo "In The Garden" by Dick Hall, who was accompanied by his wife, Louise Hall. The funeral proceeded as follows: invocation, Thomas Atkin; speaker, Bishop Thomas Burgess; vocal solo "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose," Joy Pratt, with Mrs. Duffin playing accompaniment; speaker, President O. T. Barrus, and a vocal solo "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked" by Joy Pratt. The benediction was pronounced by Leo Bevan and the grave at the Tooele City cemetery was dedicated by Jess Duffin. Pall bearers were Robert Davis, George Kramer, Roger Gregrich, Harvey Thompson, Walter Nansley and Robert Bell.
