Don Ruel Evans 1945 � 2002 Don Ruel �Chopper� Evans, 56, passed away February 16, 2002, after a long and valiant struggle with the cruel effects of Alzheimer�s disease. Don was born April 7, 1945 to Ruel Eyre Evans and Dorothy Hale Evans. He married Erika Nuttall; they were later divorced. He was a loving father to four children he adored: Jennifer, Riley Don, Taylor Ruel, and Morgan Rachel. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam conflict. He retired from Tooele Army Depot, where he worked for many years as a generator mechanic. Growing up in Stockton, Chopper loved fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He was an avid arrowhead and bottle collector. He leaves behind his children; sister Dorothy Jane (Richard) Stockdale, Stockton; and brother Dean (Carma) Evans, Tooele. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He was a loving and generous uncle to his nieces and nephews, taking them fishing, riding in his jeep or on his motorcycle. The family would like to thank the staff of Tooele Valley Nursing Home where Don received so much tender loving care the past three and one half years. Services were held February 21, 2002 at the Stockton Ward with interment in the Tooele City Cemetery.
